Capgemini published its latest TechnoVision report. A guide in which they give an overview of how technology transforms business. The theme of this latest edition is 'Simplify'. A recognition that a key goal of technology is to make the lives of consumers, colleagues, and citizens easier in a world where we can be easily overwhelmed by data. StackState supports this goal fully and is honored for being recognized as a valuable player within AIOps. We take you through the "AIOps highlights" of the report in this blog post.
"Ops, AI did it again!"Capgemini recognizes, just like StackState, the importance of AI when it comes to solving incidents that happen in complex IT operations: "AI comes to the rescue of complex IT operations, improving step-by-step efficiency and reliability while it learns, on its way to full autonomy". According to Capgemini, AI for IT Operations (AIOps) aims to collect and analyze IT operations data, often in real-time, to continuously fix and improve IT operations' performance. This definition entails a lot in which StackState can provide. Like for example the ingestion of data like metrics, logs, and events. After ingestion, this data can be analyzed in real-time like Capgemini mentions. However, StackStates Time Traveling Topology also makes it possible to travel through time. This enables you to go back in time to see how incidents occurred.
Value of AIOps
One of StackState's clients, Vodafone, is also mentioned in the TechnoVision report. They explain how AIOps are impacting their business and delivers value. Vodafone correlates data across all its infrastructure layers from critical business and application services to underlying IT and network components - to discover the root cause of problems and their related business impact up to three times faster. Capgemini also mentions a few percentages from a 2018 study about the advantages that automation can deliver:
- 76% improved company profitability
- 87% faster product and service delivery
- 82% improved software development
StackState is the leading monitoring and AIOps platform for hybrid IT. The platform combines and analyzes metrics, logs, events, and data beyond typical monitoring data, like Google Analytics, CMDBs, CI/CD tools, service registries, automation, and incident management tools. The 4T Data Model® is the core of StackState's monitoring and AIOps platform and the main driver for all real-time monitoring, automation, and predictive capabilities. It combines big data, artificial intelligence, and topology visualization to instantly pinpoint the root cause of (predicted) incidents and improve business alignment. The platform helps organizations make better decisions faster and avoid high severity outages while utilizing their current IT investments. StackState's growing customer list encompasses a range of industries — from finance, telecom, to managed service providers — and includes global enterprises like IBM Global Services, Vodafone, KPN Telecom, and ABN AMRO Bank as well as local innovators, such as NS International and Schuberg Philis.
